Attributes
Both my creative and methodical backgrounds -from Architectural Design and Business- allow me to combine both aspects seamlessly on my professional and personal settings. Also, my “always learning” philosophy allows me to expand my skills and knowledge whenever I encounter new challenges and interests.
I was raised in my father’s printshop. There I learned to have both an owner’s mindset and at the same time, an employee’s view of work about the business. I consider this to be a competitive advantage on my part since I base my daily work decisions by envisioning myself as an owner of the business and letting this mindset lead and prioritize my tasks regardless of my job description.
Each problem is unique within its context: this idea allows me to incorporate my design skills to create frameworks and find a root cause. This method helps ensure next steps in providing clear solutions to the problem, not the superficial symptoms. My areas of expertise in process management, business planning and operations provide a basis for insights to create solutions.
Today the expression “work life balance” has taken a new meaning. To me, work is an integral part of our lives, but placing work before life can become a burden. I use crafts to bring balance between both life and work, to clear my mind and ensure they come together in a cohesive whole. So from now on, when I say “life balance” I mean life with everything that comes with it.
